Walking around soaking in the beautiful scenery of Odiorne Point State Park with Claire and Andrew was so much fun! We shared stories and laughed as we walked down one of the trails next to the Seacoast Science Center in Rye, NH. It was a PERFECT day with temperatures creeping into the 60’s and the sun was shining! The light was gently diffused by a beautiful veil of clouds, it was gorgeous! This was actually my first time meeting Claire and Andrew in person! We did our initial consult over Zoom. They are just as sweet in person as they were through the screen!
Claire and Andrew met working at a summer camp on Lake George in New York five years ago. Claire, who is originally from New York, used to go to this camp when she was a kid! Andrew came to work for the camp one summer all the way from New Hampshire, where he was attending UNH. The year after they first met they began dating, which much of it had to be long distance. After Claire graduated from her New York college she moved south to do her Masters in Virginia! Eventually they both landed in Kittery, ME, right over the Portsmouth, NH border!
Being avid skiers, every St Patricks day Claire and Andrew buy tickets to Mount Snow with 4 of their friends. This year, shortly after they arrived to the resort, the COVID-19 pandemic caused everything to shut down, including the mountain. They all decided to go visit the mountain anyway, without skis. They climbed up the mountain a bit to check out a stationary ski lift, no lifts were moving. All 3 of the couples took turns taking photos on the ski lift, trying to document this strange and unique ski trip that they were having. Claire and Andrew were last. After their turn on the lift Andrew got down on one knee and asked her to marry him! She said yes and the whole thing was documented!
Congratulations Claire and Andrew! I can’t wait to see you again on your wedding day!
