Amber and Brendan’s wedding at The Barn at Powder Major’s Farm in Madbury, NH was a wedding photographer’s dream! It was a cool bright sunny day and as I looked across their acres of land I noticed that some of the trees were starting to turn colors!
These two are seriously a joy to be around. They are funny, always smiling, and just fun to hang out with! Walking around Powder Major’s land during portrait time was very reminiscent of Amber and Brendan’s glowy sunset fall engagement session last year at Wagon Hill Farm!
The day started with the bridal party getting their hair and makeup done and then heading to Powder Major’s bridal suite for their final touches! After Amber got her gown on she opened a special gift from Brendan. Before taking the tissue paper out of the gift bag, she noticed a letter was tucked into the side. She opened it up and it was three typed pages. It was so sweet to watch Amber read the letter as she smiled, laughed, and held back tears. After the gifts had been exchanged it was time to get ready for their First Look. This was one of my favorite parts of the entire day. Their First Look was intimate and so sweet! Amber came from behind Brendan and gave him a big hug. As he turned around he put his hands over his mouth and then to his eyes as he held in his tears. He had her spin around as he just doted on her. Then Amber had Brendan turn around so she could take a good look at him. Not only is it obvious that these two are in love, it is also obvious that they are best friends!
I just love reception toasts, and the speeches at Amber and Brendan’s wedding did not disappoint. The Best Man shared funny stories of when he and Brendan were at the police academy together and Brendan got the opportunity to pepper spray him in the face. Then the Matron and Maid of Honor shared stories of their sister while giving Brendan hilarious marriage advice. I loved how humorous and joyful the wedding party was!
Congratulations Amber & Brendan! I am so honored that I got to be there to celebrate with you guys! You two are so much fun to be around and I pray that you have a long and happy marriage, always making each other laugh!
