I finally met Melissa and Jimmy on a beautiful sunny July evening! It has been a very wet summer so far, so we were so grateful to soak up some sun together. We wandered around the beautiful grounds of Wagon Hill Farm in Durham NH admiring the greenery and getting to know each other better.
Jimmy and Melissa met in the ER, he is a firefighter and she is a nurse! Although they always admired each other, they were just friends for a while. Then when Melissa was planning on leaving the hospital to go to another hospital, Jimmy’s work friend told him he will miss his chance if he doesn’t go for it. So he asked Melissa if he could take her out to dinner. It was the best first date they’ve ever been on!
Last January they had a little getaway to a cabin in NH. They were ice skating in a private ice rink behind the cabin with beautiful string lights, and it started lightly snowing. After she scored a goal she turned around and he was on his knee and asked her to marry him!
I can’t wait to celebrate you two again at The Greenery next year!
