Being a photographer is exciting because I get to capture special moments between couples, like Maggie and Dave. This wasn’t my first time meeting these two either. I photographed Maggie’s brother’s wedding last year and she was a beautiful bridesmaid and Dave a handsome groomsman!
I had the joy of photographing Maggie + Dave’s engagement session at the beautiful Great Island Commons in Newcastle, NH. It was a sunny summer day, despite the forecast calling for thunderstorms.
Great Island Commons is the perfect spot in Newcastle, NH. It is right on the coast and has sandy beaches and rocks. The place was calm and serene, making it just right for Maggie and Dave’s engagement session. The fresh sea breeze and gentle waves added to the magic of the evening.
Maggie and Dave adore each other. You could tell just by watching them. They held hands, laughed, and had fun exploring the beach. These two met in college when they both went to Rivier University in Nashua, NH.
There proposal story is definitely one they will tell their grandkids one day! Dave is a bit of a prankster, and on April Fools Day he gave her a ring box that said “Will you marry me? April Fools”. Turns out it wasn’t an April Fools joke and when Maggie turned around after opening it he was down on one knee!
I cannot WAIT until their big wedding day next year!
