Emily and John’s wedding at the Oceanview at Nahant, MA was the perfect blend of timeless elegance and laid-back coastal charm. It was one of those days that couldn’t have been scripted better… warm sunshine, a gentle breeze rolling in from the Atlantic, and that unmistakable joy in the air that only a wedding day can bring.
From the very beginning, it was clear how thoughtful and kind Emily and John truly are. They were constantly checking in on their guests and vendors, making sure everyone felt cared for. That generosity and warmth radiated through every part of their day.
Their nautical, beach-inspired theme fit seamlessly with the Oceanview’s stunning backdrop. Sea glass name tags, fun scratch ticket favors, and a milkshake and sundae bar (yes, really!) were just a few of the details that made the day so uniquely theirs. Every touch felt intentional and full of personality.
The Oceanview Resort itself couldn’t have been a more fitting venue. With panoramic ocean views, multiple ceremony options, and a team that treats you like family, it really offers everything you could hope for in a coastal wedding.
One of the most touching parts of the day was how Emily and John added meaningful twists to tradition. Instead of a bouquet toss, Emily gifted her bouquet to her mom in a teary-eyed moment of gratitude. Their mothers brought the rings to the altar, a simple gesture that added so much heart. Even the dads wore ties with childhood photos of the bride and groom stitched on the back- subtle, sentimental, and sweet.
And we can’t forget Bogey, their beloved cat. A Lego sculpture of him sat proudly at the reception, alongside custom napkins in his honor. It was quirky, personal, and perfect.
Being part of Emily and John’s day was such a joy. Surrounded by beauty, laughter, and love, it’s hard to ask for anything more. Cheers to a couple who truly did it their way.
xo, Chelsey
