Hampton Beach State Park is one of the most beautiful places for an engagement shoot…especially at the end of the summer, an hour before the sun sets. As I drove into the parking lot, it started to lightly rain but I was not worried. Emily and John met at the entrance and I immediately noticed how great they looked. With coordinating outfits, they were excited, yet nervous, for pictures and I could not wait to capture them.
While taking pictures, I noticed John had on blue socks. When I brought it up, he proudly pulled up the bottom of his pants to show off his socks that had pictures of a cat on them. He and Emily began laughing, explaining that the cat was their pet, Bogey. Besides their love for one another, Bogey seems to be the love of their lives. Sadly, she will not be joining us on the big day 😉
Emily and John have been together for over 7 years, having first met in college. They both work as special education teachers in Massachusetts and share the same love of supporting and advocating for their students. When they are not at school, they enjoy cooking with one another, golfing at the country club, or learning how to play pickleball. They love to stay active and try new things! In May, they had taken a trip to Cape Cod, a place they like to frequently visit. While they were there, they went to a beach they had not been to before. It was there that John popped the question, catching Emily completely off guard! What a sweet surprise.
With the light rainfall and the most beautiful view of a full rainbow, we ended the memorable session in awe. In June of 2025, Emily and John will be tying the knot at one of my favorite venues, the Oceanview of Nahant. I cannot wait and hope you both enjoy this special time!
