I arrived at the Waterfront Park in Newburyport, Massachusetts on a Sunday afternoon and it was stunning. The sun was shining, there was a strong breeze coming off of the ocean and many people were walking around. Emily and Brent met me in the park. Emily had a fun, floral summer dress and Brent matched the flowers on the dress with a white shirt and salmon colored shorts. They were smiley, bubbly and ready to take their engagement photos. I was excited to meet them!
In 2019, right before the world shut down, Emily and Brent matched on Bumble. They soon went on a date and have been together ever since. They enjoy playing tennis together, board games, watching TV and hanging out with friends. When Brent proposed, Emily thought that they were actually just going on a tennis date but after their match finished, which Emily claims she won, Brent asked her to go on a walk on the beach in Winthrop. Before the walk, he ran to his car to quickly “make a phone call”, where he grabbed the ring and then they began their walk. They found a bench to sit on and he immediately got down on one knee and asked Emily to marry him. She exclaimed, “Yes!” and then followed up with, “Did you ask my dad?!” Such a sweet story.
They have been engaged over a year now and will be married in October at Three Chimneys Inn in Durham, New Hampshire. Emily and Brent, I am SO looking forward to your wedding day! It is going to be here before you know it!
