I have lived in New England for the majority of my life and had never been to Mount Agamenticus until tonight. It is such a beautiful staple in York, Maine and I was excited that Joe and Heather picked this location for their engagement pictures.
I met them on a bright but chilly evening. They were perfectly coordinated- Heather in a classy blue dress and Joe with khakis and a plaid long sleeve that had a blue stripe in it. They were also joined by their sweet dog, a super cute golden doodle named Peggy and Heather’s Maid of Honor, Maura.
Heather and Joe met through a few friends- Joe’s best friend who is Heather’s best friend’s sister’s husband…did I get that right? They hung out for some time in a group and getting to know one another until the switch from friends to more-then-friends happened. It has been a little over 5 years since they have been together and they will be getting married next June!
Heather’s ring is stunning. I could not help but keep taking pictures of it! They got engaged in November. Joe proposed on Rye Beach, a place they have been taking Peggy every weekend, so Heather did not expect it! She thought they were just bringing Peggy to play in the sand when Joe got on one knee. An additional surprise was having Maura there, secretly taking pictures of it all.
Despite the weather being cooler than expected, it was so lovely to take pictures with a beautiful sunset. Also, shout out to Peggy, who was shivering, and snarling at me, but I think she enjoyed it too. Heather and Joe, I am SO looking forward to your wedding and hope you enjoy this special time of being engaged.
