Can I just say that you can never go wrong with a wedding by the ocean?! Especially when the weather is also perfect.
Yesterday, I had the privilege to photograph John and Ally’s wedding day. I had met them back in September, when I did their engagement shoot at New Castle Beach. They were so much fun to photograph then so I knew that it was going to be a good time at their wedding.
I met Ally in the morning where she was getting ready at an Airbnb, minutes away from the venue in Kennebunkport. For those who have never been to Kennebunkport, I highly recommend visiting- it is such a beautiful, nautical town with so many different things to do. Ally shared that they had rented the Airbnb for their whole family! It was so special to see so many different family members hanging around, all getting ready for the big day.
The ceremony and reception took place at the Kennebunkport River Club. It was this amazing, old boat house right on the water. John had shared with me that as the tide comes in, it can cover the sandy parts that surround the building and it will look like it is floating in the water. The ceremony was so intimate and beautiful. Two very important members joined the ceremony- Tucker and Mazie. If you take a look at some of the wedding photos, I think you will be able to guess who they are! Following the ceremony, a fun, vibrant cocktail hour took place with music from a live band and personalized drinks, named after Tucker and Mazie.
John and Ally, thank you SO much for letting me spend the day with you. I am so happy and excited for you and it was a true joy to witness it all.
