They ran into each other at a bar in Boston. Dom quickly made his move, running over to ask if she wanted a drink. Of course, she said yes, and from that moment on, they haven’t stopped talking.
Proposal Story
Their story took a beautiful turn on July 29th, 2023. Dom planned a trip to Newport, RI, to celebrate Brittny passing her CPA exams. They stayed at the picturesque Newport Harbor Island Resort, with their room offering a perfect view of a charming lighthouse on the water.
The next morning, Dom told Brittny they had brunch reservations at 9:30. He had padded the schedule, knowing she might run late, but she didn’t! With some extra time on their hands, Dom suggested they visit the lighthouse they had admired from their room.
As they wandered around the beautiful lighthouse, Brittny’s thoughts were filled with breakfast choices—pancakes or waffles? Little did she know, Dom was about to serve up the biggest surprise of her life. Dom suggested that they head towards their “reservations,” but as they reached the front of the lighthouse, he stopped. With a heartfelt speech that melted Brittny’s heart, Dom got down on one knee and asked the big question.
Brittny, caught completely off guard, was overwhelmed with emotion. As if the moment couldn’t get any sweeter, Dom revealed that he had arranged for a hidden photographer to capture every precious second. Their impromptu photoshoot turned into a cherished memory that marked the beginning of their next chapter together.
But Dom’s surprises didn’t end there. When they arrived home, Brittny noticed their loved ones’ cars lining the street. The man who “doesn’t plan anything” had orchestrated a surprise party with friends and family, making the day even more unforgettable.
