Wedding season is in full swing! I am so excited for this season of weddings and engagements. My first session of 2024 took place in New Castle, a Great Island Commons engagement, where I met Katelyn and Mark.
We were the only ones on the beach, which was a first for me! We had been hoping that the weather would cooperate and lucky for us, it did. There was not a single drop of rain but rather a nice overcast evening with a warm breeze.
Katelyn and Mark are so sweet. During the entire photoshoot, they were laughing and having fun with one another. Photoshoots can be nerve wracking and initially awkward but this was not the case for them. We hit it off- talking about their relationship, family, work and wedding planning. Katelyn works as a prosecutor for the state and Mark is an electrician.
They also have a beautiful little girl named Sadie, who is 10 months old. Between work and raising Sadie, they are planning their wedding! Talk about a couple of rock stars. When Katelyn was pregnant with Sadie, she was getting ready for her baby shower when Mark proposed to her. She was so surprised as she never suspected he would do it then and Mark loved that he surprised her. Getting engaged AND having a baby shower in one day sounds pretty amazing.
While we did not have any rain for the Great Island Commons engagement, we did happen to run into a tick problem, but thankfully Katelyn and Mark laughed and just casually brushed them off. I myself on the other hand kept thinking I had ticks crawling on me all night. It was a memorable way to end the photoshoot đ
They will be getting married this September, at a new venue in Nottingham, New Hampshire called The Barn at Merry Hill. The wedding will be here before we know it and I canât wait to celebrate with them.
