One hundred and one degrees. That’s what the thermometer read on Alli and Dom’s wedding day, making it one of the hottest weddings I’ve ever photographed. Yet despite the blazing July heat, every moment of the day was filled with joy, laughter, and a love that has been twelve years in the making.
Alli and Dom tied the knot at Miraval Gardens by Wedgewood Weddings in East Bridgewater, Massachusetts. Nestled among beautifully landscaped gardens, mature trees, and elegant stone pathways, Miraval Gardens offers a romantic escape that feels tucked away from the world. The venue is known for its lush outdoor ceremony space, charming indoor reception hall, and seamless wedding experience, making it a beautiful setting for couples looking for timeless elegance with a relaxed atmosphere.
I met Alli and her bridal party at a nearby hotel where excitement filled every room. Alli looked adorable in silk pajamas while her bridesmaids wore matching pajama sets, music played in the background, and everyone buzzed with laughter as hair and makeup came together. Alli’s smile never left her face. She shared a sweet first look with her bridesmaids before opening a series of heartfelt gifts from her mom, each carrying a special meaning. Watching those moments unfold made it obvious just how deeply loved she is and how much everyone was looking forward to celebrating her.
Alli and Dom’s love story began twelve years ago as high school sweethearts. They followed one another to Keene State, graduated together, and built a life side by side. There hasn’t been a time since 2014 that they haven’t been together, and that kind of unwavering commitment is incredibly rare. Their relationship has grown through every stage of life, making this wedding day feel like the perfect next chapter in a story that was always meant to be.
Brenda, my second shooter, and I even had the pleasure of driving Alli and her mom to the venue. With the air conditioning blasting against the July heat and Dan + Shay playing through the speakers, the short drive became one last peaceful moment for mother and daughter before the excitement of the day truly began.
One of my favorite moments was their private first look and personal vows. Hidden away from their guests, they were able to soak in a few quiet minutes together, exchanging heartfelt words that brought tears and plenty of smiles. Afterward, we powered through portraits while keeping a close eye on the heat. We’d spend a few minutes outside capturing beautiful photos before everyone happily rushed back inside to cool off. The bridal party were absolute troopers, keeping the energy high, laughing through every pose, and making the most of the record-breaking temperatures. Alli and Dom never once complained- they were all in for every photo and every moment.
Their ceremony was beautifully personal, officiated by Dom’s big sister and made even more meaningful with heartfelt readings from Alli’s grandmother and one of Dom’s aunts. There were tears, laughter, and so much love before these two officially became husband and wife.
The celebration that followed was exactly what every wedding reception should be: nonstop fun. The dance floor stayed packed with great music, guests enjoyed cigars and tequila shots, glow sticks lit up the party, and the photo booth kept everyone laughing. Then came my favorite reception moment- Alli dropping into a full split in her wedding dress with the biggest smile on her face. I was absolutely obsessed.
Alli and Dom, thank you for trusting me to capture such an incredible day. Your love, your joy, and the way you’ve continued choosing each other over the past twelve years is something truly special.
