I have been super lucky with getting beautiful weather for engagement shoots at Hampton State Park. It was a warm, slightly windy, clear sky evening and I was excited to meet Nora and Collin. When I arrived a little early to scope out the area, I was taken aback by how many people were at the beach! Then I remembered it was Labor Day weekend. Despite the crowds, I knew we would have no problem getting the shots we wanted.
Nora and Collin arrived dressed in coordinating outfits that fit the perfect image of engagement beach photos. We began making our way around the dunes and it was so easy to chat with them- they were so sweet and friendly. I always like to tell my couples that doing this engagement shoot is the perfect practice for their upcoming wedding; they will already be pros (and comfortable) with all of the poses.
Some people say that you are destined to be with another certain person, and when it comes to Nora and Collin, this seems to be the case. They have been a part of each other’s lives since they were little, being a part of the same schools, community and even a gymnastics gym! Collin’s dad was Nora’s gymnastics coach (and owner of the gym) when she was little and they still did not know each other. Years later, at a friend’s graduation party, Collin and Nora finally crossed paths.
They began dating and quickly realized how they had been around each other for years without even realizing it. Because of many shared commonalities between friends and family, they had no problem incorporating their families together. In February, Nora, Collin and their siblings vacationed together at Zion National Park. To Nora’s surprise, Collin got down on one knee and proposed. Everyone was able to take pictures and capture videos of it. What a special day!
Nora and Collin, I am so excited to celebrate the both of you next year at the Bedford Village. This year will fly by!
