I don’t always shoot in big cities, but when I do it is in Boston! I loved meeting Caitlin and Paul at their home in Charlestown. It was surprisingly quiet, given it’s proximity to downtown Boston. The weather was looking iffy all day, and the radar did not look promising but we held on to our plans and went for it. I am so glad that we did because it turned out to be a beautiful day, and unseasonably warm for the first of November! We walked along the Freedom Trail to the Bunker Hill Monument and then headed down to the water.
Paul and Caitlin met through mutual friends their sophomore year of college in upstate New York and pretty quickly became inseparable.
On a Sunday evening in August, Paul helped Caitlin’s two best friends sneak up to their rooftop deck and he convinced Caitlin to to head up there for a glass of wine before “meeting friends for dinner”. When Caitlin arrived on the rooftop there were flowers all set up and as she turned to her left she saw her two best friends there to capture the moment. That is when Caitlin realized what was happening! Paul got down on one knee and asked Caitlin to marry him. Paul had also planned for their families and a few more friends to go out to dinner to celebrate afterwards. Caitlin reports it was perfect and he completely surprised her by proposing at home because she never expected!
I can’t wait to hang out with these two again and celebrate next summer!!
