Yesterday was pure bliss! Not only was it a beautiful, cool, fall day, but I had the pleasure of spending my time shooting Emily and Brent’s wedding. I was so excited to have this opportunity as they are some of the nicest and most calm people I had ever met!
The wedding took place at Three Chimneys Inn in Durham, New Hampshire. Emily and Brent had family and friends staying at the Inn for the weekend which meant they were celebrating all weekend long. When I arrived, Emily was getting her hair and makeup done. She seemed so relaxed but did say she was anxious to get the day started. I assured her that the day was going to be everything she had hoped for!
Emily and Brent met on Bumble right when COVID had hit. Emily was not from the area but once she met Brent’s family, they included her like she was one of their own. This was evident throughout the day as Emily and Brent wanted their families to witness their first look as well as having various family members get ready with them. Since Emily’s parents are not from the area, Emily’s aunts stepped up and helped plan the wedding. It was apparent how much that meant to Emily and her parents, as her Dad thanked all the “aunties” in his welcome speech.
One of my favorite parts of the day was at the very end. Dinner had been served, the parent dances had just ended, and the DJ began to play the party music. The minute it started, the dance floor was PACKED. As I was getting ready to leave, I saw Emily and Brent dancing with one another, singing into their bottles, laughing and hugging. Nothing is better than seeing two people who are in love and enjoying each other’s company like that.
