Hello, fall! It’s me! I know we’re several days shy of the official first day of fall but the weather and venue made it seem like it had already started. Today was Katelyn and Mark’s The Barn at Merry Hill wedding and I was looking forward to seeing them again! I couldn’t believe the beautiful weather we had for this special day. It was sunny and hot but as soon as that sun started to set, it was cool and the wind was blowing the leaves off the trees. Many of the leaves were already changing!
The wedding was held at The Barn at Merry Hill, a new venue located in Nottingham, New Hampshire. The red barn is the main attraction but the landscape is stunning. Behind the barn lies a stone patio with rock walls, a rock fountain, another small house and a ceremony space with a sprawling field behind it. I kept walking around, thinking, “I wish this was here when I had gotten married…”
Katelyn and Mark are such kind, sweet people. Throughout the day, they were making sure everyone else was doing okay and had everything they needed. They were so relaxed and ready to get married. Katelyn had worked hard on the details for the day – from the bridesmaid gifts, polaroid camera guest book, backdrop and table décor…it all came together perfectly. She had amazing glam as well, looking like old school Hollywood. She was such a vision and Mark looked so handsome as well.
There was one guest in particular that was extra cute – Sadie. Sadie is Katelyn and Mark’s daughter and she is the cutest little girl I’ve ever seen! She was a big part of the day. She loved being in the pictures and walking down the aisle to her dad. She even joined mom and dad out on the dance floor before bedtime! When I saw she had a baby sippy cup that looked like a martini glass…I could not even handle it.
To finish the night off, everyone went straight to the dance floor after dinner. From 60s music, to some of my favorite 90s and early 2000s hits, it was hard to not dance along with them. Katelyn and Mark dance with their loved ones, waving fun glow sticks in one hand and enjoying their drink in the other. It was so fun seeing all the different ages out on the dance floor- kids included!
Katelyn and Mark, it was such a joy being able to capture your The Barn at Merry Hill wedding. I hope it was everything you dreamed of!
