I’m so excited to share Kiana and Brandon’s Strawbery Banke Museum engagement session in Portsmouth, NH. It was a beautiful, hot summer day. We could hear the play happening down in Prescott Park and the city was buzzing. Capturing their love in such a historic and picturesque location was truly a joy.
How They Met
Kiana and Brandon’s story began in a modern way—online. But their connection runs deeper than just a swipe right. Kiana had met several people from Brandon’s family before they ever met. Brandon was in the Navy in California at the time, so their paths didn’t cross until later.
It wasn’t until Brandon left the Navy that fate stepped in. They matched and started going on a few dates, keeping it a bit of a secret from their families. As their relationship grew stronger, they decided it was time to share their happiness with their families, who were thrilled for them.
The Proposal
Brandon’s proposal to Kiana was a beautiful surprise. Last September, Kiana noticed a business card for a jeweler in Brandon’s car, sparking her curiosity. A week later, they went hiking up Mount Major, and when Brandon brought his backpack, Kiana couldn’t help but wonder if something special was about to happen.
At the top of Mount Major, Brandon proposed. Both were so nervous that the details of the moment are a bit of a blur, but Kiana vividly remembers Brandon telling her she was the love of his life and a great pup mom. It was a perfect, private proposal, just the way Kiana would have chosen.
Our engagement session at Strawbery Banke was filled with laughter, love, and beautiful moments.
