Joe is from Philadelphia and Kelsey is from New Hampshire. How they met is quite the story! Kelsey had a friend in Philadelphia and her friend suggested that Kelsey should try talking to her boyfriend’s best friend, Joe. Joe’s best friend was on the other side telling Joe something similar. Finally Joe decided to text Kelsey and they hit it off and started a long distance relationship.
They didn’t meet in person for a few months. Kelsey was coming to visit by train and the first time Joe saw her in real life was picking her up from the train station! A couple of months later Kelsey moved to Pennsylvania.
Joe, Kelsey, and I walked around the beautiful Strawbery Banke while listening to the sound of the Prescott Arts Festival play happening just a street away! I love Portsmouth’s atmosphere. We have also experienced a string of perfect days with beautiful sunsets and this day was no exception!
Kelsey’s family has been vacationing in York for the past ten summers and for the past 3 summers Kelsey and Joe have been joining them. In August 2021 during one of their visits to York, Kelsey asked Joe if he wanted to go walk on the beach (at 10pm). Joe who had been waiting for a perfect opportunity to ask her to marry him jumped at the chance. Kelsey didn’t suspect anything. They walked down the beach under a beautiful clear starry sky and Joe asked her to marry him!
I can’t wait until these two are back in the area for their WEDDING DAY! I can’t wait to celebrate next year!
