I’m so excited to share Jen and Ryan’s engagement session with you! We spent a beautiful, hot spring day at the Salisbury Beach State Reservation in Salisbury, Massachusetts. The sunset was simply incredible, making it a perfect backdrop for their love story.
How They Met
Jen and Ryan’s journey began about four years ago online. Their first date was in October 2020 at Haunted Overload in Lee, NH. Since then, they’ve been inseparable, sharing a love for adventure and the great outdoors.
The Proposal Story
Ryan’s proposal was straight out of a fairytale. On their anniversary, 10/12/2023, he took Jen to Jenness Beach, a place with special memories for them. The night before, he and his sister arranged a heart made of seashells with a wine bottle in the center. The bottle had a custom label saying, “Jennifer, will you marry me?”
Ryan convinced Jen to leave work early and head to the beach before dinner at Café Mediterraneo. As they walked along the shore, Jen spotted the heart in the sand. When she turned around, Ryan was on one knee with the ring. And she said yes!
The Perfect Venue
For their wedding day they chose Castleton. It’s a perfect spot, halfway between Jen’s family in Connecticut and Ryan’s family in New Hampshire. With their love for the water, Castleton felt like the ideal place to start the next chapter of their lives together.
I’m thrilled to have captured these precious moments for Jen and Ryan. Here are some of my favorite shots from their engagement session at Salisbury Beach State Reservation.
