Emily and Nathan’s wedding day at Pepperell Cove was the kind of day that makes you believe in happy surprises. The forecast had promised rain and storms from morning till night, but in true New England fashion, the weather had its own plans. Instead of clouds, the day was filled with sun, salty wind off the water, and the kind of light that makes everything feel extra magical. The rain did come, but only late at night, long after the dancing had started and every photo had been captured.
From the moment the ceremony began, emotions were running high. As they stood together, overlooking the harbor, guests were instantly reaching for tissues, especially after Emily and Nathan shared their heartfelt, personal vows. Even Nathan couldn’t hold back tears, but luckily, his new mother-in-law had tissues at the ready.
There were so many beautiful, intimate moments throughout the day—like their quiet first look on the dock, just the two of them with boats swaying gently in the background. The ceremony itself was officiated by Nathan’s brother Luke, who somehow had everyone laughing and tearing up all at once.
The entire wedding had a strong sense of family. From the cake, lovingly baked by Nathan’s mom, to the guest list packed with cousins, aunts, uncles, and even Emily’s incredible 99-year-old grandfather, it was clear that love runs deep in this group.
It was a wedding full of warmth, laughter, wind-tangled hair, and heartfelt celebration. A day that started with uncertainty turned into something unforgettable, and there’s really no better way to start a marriage than that. Thank you Emily and Nate, for allowing me to capture such a joyous day.
xoxo Chelsey
