This is huge.
I had a vague goal when I started this business that I wanted to be featured in a print magazine. It was sort of an elusive goal, a “oh sure maybe one day” goal. I certainly don’t think it is necessary for me to have my work published in a magazine, but I definitely always thought it would be SO COOL to see my work in print.
Every NYE my husband and I write down yearly goals. If you know me at all, you know I’m a bit of an achiever. I don’t just write down goals haphazardly. I internalize them. They become things I WILL do. That certainly has its downfalls, but that is where my mind automatically goes. Anyyywho, one of my goals for 2021 was to be published in a magazine. That one was hard for me to write down because I knew I didn’t have much control over it. Some goals are 100% in my realm of control and just take willpower and determination. This goal was different, because… sure I could submit my work until the cows come home, but if a publisher doesn’t select me…there isn’t a whole lot I can do. I couldn’t white knuckle this goal into fruition.
So please celebrate with me that MY WORK WAS CHOSEN.
