Over the weekend, I had my last photo shoot until next season. It is always bittersweet as I love the business of wedding season and seeing my couples again, but also look forward to my weekends winding down. This engagement session in York, Maine, was the perfect way to end the season.
For early November, the weather could not have been more perfect- slightly overcast, a small breeze and temperatures in the 50s. We took advantage of being on the beach for our photos. Ashleigh and Sean were great sports with walking in the sand and water barefoot. I love working with a couple that will do anything for the shot!
I met Ashleigh and Sean at Short Sands beach. I had not shot in York yet but I was excited for the opportunity. York is a special place for Ashleigh and Sean. Back in August, Sean proposed to Ashleigh and caught her completely off-guard. He got down on one knee, by the oceanside in front of Nubble LightHouse. Ashleigh joked that they had just arrived in York for their vacation and she was not dressed up in anticipation of getting engaged. She loved being surprised though and was eager to take these engagement pictures dressed up, back at the Nubble LightHouse.
The newly-engaged couple have been together for 6 years, meeting on Tinder and never looking back. Once COVID hit, they moved in together and soon later bought a house and their sweet miniature labradoodle. Their go-to date night is visiting a local restaurant or bar, grabbing some drinks and food. Sounds like the perfect date night to me!
Ashleigh and Sean will be getting married in December 2024. I cannot believe I have to wait that long until I get to see them again! I know that this time will fly by and I am looking forward to capturing your special day.
