It was such a joy to capture Alicia and Doug’s wedding. I was excited to see them again since I had not seen them since their engagement session over a year ago! I met them in Nahant, Massachusetts at a beautiful venue right on the beachside. The weather was cool, overcast and the ocean view was so refreshing.
First things first, I had never seen a more detailed, organized and thoughtful wedding. Alicia and Doug were so intentional with every aspect of the wedding and it was apparent. From thoughtful gifts, to including past loved ones, like Doug wearing Alicia’s father’s watch, there was no detail left out. One aspect of their wedding that I loved was that they made the table centerpieces themselves! For over a year, they collected pieces of driftwood to make the cutest sailboats. After the wedding, guests were able to take them home, along with a creative favor of a lottery ticket with a sticker of their dogs saying, “Who doesn’t love a scratch?” Again, I am telling you that they thought of everything!
Alicia and Doug have the sweetest group of family and friends. During the wedding ceremony, you couldn’t help but notice the smiles on everyone’s faces as Alicia and Doug exchanged vows and rings. The cocktail hour was full of laughter, cheering, affection and the reception was no different. The newlyweds had a beautiful first dance that they had practiced through professional lessons and it was entertaining to watch. The rest of the night was such a party with loud music and lots of dancing- I was not ready to leave!
Alicia and Doug, thank you for allowing me to be a part of your day. It was so special to witness and I wish you both nothing but the best!
