Seacoast Science Center Wedding Venue, Rye NH | Sarah + Frank | Associate Wedding

Sarah and Frank’s wedding day at The Seacoast Science Center Wedding Venue will be one we won’t soon forget! This wedding season has been filled with lots of unpredictable weather but nothing compares to an impending hurricane forecasted for a couple’s wedding day. In true New England fashion, the weather forecast kept changing days leading up to Sarah and Frank’s big day.

With high winds projected on the coastline, the vendor team had informed the bride and groom the evening before their wedding that their tented seaside wedding would need to be moved indoors. This couple was not going to let the weather get them down! Despite the disappointing news, they stayed hopeful that their day would still be everything they envisioned, just indoors.

Flash forward to the morning of their wedding (mid hair and makeup) and Sarah got the call that they were able to move the wedding back outside! When we arrived to meet Sarah and her girls at the Marriott in Downtown Portsmouth, the guys had all headed over to help the crew at Seacoast Science Center move everything back outside! Talk about a labor of love for this couple on their wedding day! That was just the beginning of an incredible day filled with so much love for this bride and groom!

Once the good news was delivered it was time to get the day moving! We arrived to Sarah and her bridesmaids all beautifully matching in adorable jammies where the details of the day were just getting started. Sarah had a vision for her wedding day and left no detail untouched. With personalized bags for each bridesmaid filled with hand crafted sweatshirts, water bottles, earrings (and more!) and personalized socks for each groomsmen with their dogs faces, we knew this was just the beginning of a day filled with special touches.

As Sarah finished her final touches of hair and makeup, Frank and his groomsmen were in a nearby hotel room and had made it back from furniture moving in time to get themselves ready!

We took a trolley ride through downtown Portsmouth and made our way to Prescott Park where Frank and Sarah had their first look and shared personal wedding vows. While we weren’t close enough to hear their vows, the two of them couldn’t stop laughing and crying with each other. Clearly the sign of special and meaningful vows! Shortly after, the bridal party joined the couple for some fun photos and then we were off to Seacoast Science Center!

Sarah and Frank put so much thought into the details of their day which made it so personal! From their ceremony where their bridesmaids and groomsmen each held the couple’s wedding rings to “warm” them with well wishes, to every inch of their reception space adorned with beautiful and thoughtful touches, their wedding day was a beautiful reflection of their love for one another, their friends and family, as well as their love for the ocean.

Their friends and family came ready to party! As soon as the dance floor opened, it was filled with guests! Sarah truly didn’t take a smile off of her face the entire day and Frank did take his eyes off of his beautiful bride. It was an honor to not only photograph their wedding day but to also share in the excitement for this couple and celebrate alongside their family and friends!

I know your future is going to be filled with smiles, sunshine on rainy days and lots of special days made into memories! Congratulations!!
