I arrived at Heather’s parent’s house Saturday afternoon, ready to shoot this beautiful bride and handsome groom! I pulled up to a cute house, at the end of a cul de sac, with big, pink heart balloons marking the special occasion. Heather, her mother, her mother-in-law, and all of the bridesmaids were getting ready in the sunroom. High School Musical was playing, the girls were snacking on some homemade treats, and hair & make-up was almost done.
Heather seemed so calm while getting ready. She had a sweet card that Joe had written for her that morning, and she was excited to marry him so soon. It was fun seeing Heather getting ready for her wedding in the home she grew up in. One of her bridesmaids is a life-long friend that was her neighbor (her parents still live across the street from one another)!
One of my favorite parts of the day was seeing the close relationships Heather and Joe have with their friends and family. It was evident while they were getting ready, but it was even more clear at the reception when the speeches were given, and the dancing began.
While we had some concerns about the weather, the rain turned into a quick shower and ended up being hot and sunny for the rest of the afternoon. I had not yet been to a Catholic wedding ceremony, so I loved being able to see the traditions and routines that took place. Heather had one of the most beautiful cathedral veils I have ever seen, and it was such a vision as she walked down the aisle. I loved being able to see Joe just beam as he watched his bride approaching.
Joe and Heather, thank you for allowing me to be a part of your day! It was so beautiful, and I wish you two nothing but the best!
