This past Labor Day weekend I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Ashleigh and Steven’s wedding day in Boulder, Colorado! We could not have asked for better weather either. The sun was shining and the sky was just as blue as it could be. The temperature started cool in the morning and then heated up as the sun rose. There were beautiful mountains and babbling streams. Pretty much everything I envisioned Colorado to be.
Ashleigh and Steven are both from Texas! This was a destination wedding so all of the guests had traveled from far and wide to be there. It was such a joy to meet their family and friends. Well, there were some family members there that I already knew…I am in fact Ashleigh’s cousin!
Although they both attended Texas Tech, they didn’t meet there. They actually met through their siblings years later. Once they met it didn’t take long for them to realize what they had found. They fell in love and the rest is history!
I was so thrilled to be able to meet up with Ashleigh and Steven the night before their wedding and capture their love with a Colorado FlatIron in the background! Those are definitely some of my favorite shots. The wedding was held at Boulder Creek Weddings off of Boulder Canyon Road which runs right next to Boulder Creek. The ceremony was so peaceful and serene being right along the water. It was beautiful and intimate with just their families and their closest friends.
