The day started with mimosas and matching robes! I walked into the bridal suite and found Juliana getting her finishing touches of hair and make up done, she looked absolutely stunning! I met each of her bridesmaids, the mother of the bride, and then Juliana’s two sweet nieces. I loved the way this wedding day started, and it got even sweeter when dad walked in.
We set dad right in front of the fireplace while Juliana hid in the bedroom of the suite, waiting to be revealed. Once everyone was ready, she came out. Immediately she started crying, fanning her face trying to stop the swell of tears that were filling up her eyes. Her dad’s eyes smiled as he hugged her. He told her that she was his treasure, a phrase that he would say multiple times throughout the day.
There were many of these interactions throughout this special day that I got lucky enough to witness. Juliana and Dan exchanged gifts before the ceremony. Juliana’s included a card, she opened it and within seconds began tearing up. She couldn’t have read more than one sentence. It had me so curious on what the note said, but the mystery and beauty of the unknown made it a sacred moment between the bride and groom, even though they were apart.
Their ceremony and reception at Wentworth By The Sea was classic and elegant. The venue is a timeless gem that is so grand in its appearance. It was a scorcher of a day, the temperature was reaching 95 degrees and the humidity made it feel even hotter. During the ceremony I began to notice that dark clouds were rolling in, out of no where. The forecast had no signs of rain the last time I checked. As their ceremony was ending it began to sprinkle as thunder rolled in. We quickly took cover under a covered trellis and tried to make light of the situation. Then as suddenly as it came the storm was gone. The sun came out and it was as if nothing had happened. The heat broke and it was much cooler. It was perfect!
The reception was no different than the rest of the day. It was full of love, joy, and laughter. Except there was dancing. Lots of dancing! A perfect ending to a perfect day!
Congratulations Juliana & Dan! I am so honored that I got to celebrate your wedding day with you. I pray that you two have a long, healthy, and happy marriage!
