There’s something special about engagement sessions in Portsmouth, and Leah and Cameron’s shoot at Prescott Park was the perfect example of that charm. The weather forecast had promised cool temperatures in the low 60s with clouds, but as we pulled in, a set of dark, dramatic skies hovered behind us. I was convinced we’d be running for cover from the rain at any minute, but to our luck, the storm held off. Instead, we were treated to a crisp breeze and, just as we wrapped up, a little bit of sunshine peeking through the clouds, like the perfect send off.
Leah and Cameron first met in 2021 on Hinge, which has become a popular matchmaker for so many of my couples. From the very beginning, they shared something sweet in common: their pups. Cameron had Suzy, and Leah had Dexter, and together they’ve created the sweetest blended-dog family.
During our time at Prescott Park, Leah and Cameron’s personalities came shining through. They had told me they hoped their photos would reflect their playful, fun-loving nature, and they truly delivered. Between sweet laughter, quick kisses, and easy smiles, it felt less like a photo session and more like spending time with two people who simply love being around each other. The gardens and waterfront paths made a beautiful backdrop, but it was their connection that stood out the most.
In May of 2026, Leah and Cameron will be tying the knot at Milliken Manor in Jaffrey, NH. Knowing how much joy and warmth they brought to their engagement session, I can only imagine how wonderful their wedding day will be. And of course, I can’t wait to see how Suzy and Dexter are incorporated into the celebration- it already sounds like the sweetest family affair.
