Today was nothing short of a perfect fall day. The streets were covered in golden leaves and lined with pumpkins, it was a complete fall take over. Nothing but smiles, cozy, colorful autumn colors, and sweaters! This was the sweetest couple ever and couldn’t ask for a more perfect pair.
I spent the evening walking, talking, laughing, and snapping photos of Brie & Jay, it didn’t even feel like work. There’s something incredibly special about engagement sessions. It’s a chance to slow things down and get to know each other before the big day. Connecting with these two felt effortless.It was like hanging out with old friends.
One of my favorite moments during their engagement shoot was the way Jay gently fixed Brie’s hair without even thinking twice. It was such a small thing, but it showed so much love and care. It’s kind of amazing to see how things change, them two knowing each other from high school and even working together, who would’ve guessed it would turn into this? The way they looked at each other to the way they laughed between shots, their connection is something you can feel through the lens.
I got a glimpse of their personalities, their love, their humor, and now I get to document it all as it unfolds on one of the most special days of their lives. I’m also really looking forward to meeting the people who mean the most to them on their wedding day. After hearing about so much and many wonderful years of Jay and Brie’s relationship, it’s finally time for them to say “I do.” I’ll be counting down the days until the wedding day and can’t wait to capture it through my point of view… through my lens!
